RN - NICU - Days
Somerset, KY
Pay: $36.00/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Position Type: 13-Week Contract | Day Shift
NICU RN Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU or comparable neonatal nursing experience
  • Strong knowledge of neonatal assessment and patient care
  • Experience administering medications, treatments, and IV therapies
  • Ability to monitor and respond appropriately to changes in neonatal condition
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care
  • Ability to accurately document patient care using electronic medical records
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients during the day shift
  • Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments
  • Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and overall patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Manage and monitor IV therapies
  • Assist with feeding and developmental care
  • Support parents and families by providing education and compassionate care
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and appropriate healthcare staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow all NICU safety, quality, and patient-care protocols
  • Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
