Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Operator based out of our Waco, Texas plant.  In this role you will support positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a night shift plant operator, you will work with a team to maintain the plant in good operating condition to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. 

Day to Day

  • Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
  • Assist with preventive maintenance on the plant to keep the plant running
  • Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production. 
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand tools.
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform daily pre-shift on equipment and workplace inspections
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • Welding knowledge
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

  • Welding knowledge
  • Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Condition

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.  Ability to lift 60lbs.
