Furnace Operator
Location: Plymouth, MI Shift: 1st Pay: $18/hr
Job Summary
Are you comfortable working in a hot environment and looking to be part of a fast-paced, hands-on production team? We’re seeking a Heat Treat Operator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of the manufacturing process, preparing and processing materials to ensure they meet strict quality standards and customer expectations.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Furnace Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Selecting products according to the daily furnace schedule for the assigned furnace line.
  • Inspecting materials for quantity, weight, and any damage or defects prior to processing.
  • Racking and preparing materials on fixtures or in baskets to begin the heat-treating process.
  • Unloading and organizing finished materials after treatment and returning them to the correct containers.
  • Maintaining production rates and quality standards that meet or exceed customer expectations.
In addition, you will also be expected to follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • Comfortable working in a high-heat manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as racking and unloading materials.

  • Dependability: Maintains consistent attendance and focus throughout long shifts.
