Material Handler

Looking for a role where you'll stay busy, work with heavy industrial equipment, and play a critical part in keeping manufacturing operations moving?

We're hiring a Material Handler to manage the flow of raw materials throughout a fast-paced production facility. This position supports manufacturing by unloading incoming shipments, transporting materials to production areas, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring equipment operators have the materials they need to stay productive.

This is a physically active position for someone who enjoys working around machinery, operating industrial equipment, and being an essential part of the manufacturing process. This position is located in Bluffton, IN.

Material Handler Benefits & Compensation:
  • Starting pay: $18.95/hour
  • Day Shift: Monday–Thursday
    • 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Consistent schedule with three-day weekends
  • Friday overtime available
  • Stable manufacturing environment
  • Opportunity to expand skills and grow within operations
Material Handler Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Overhead crane operating experience required
  • Previous material handling experience
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, lift trucks, or similar equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and heavy materials
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Comfortable unloading steel and aluminum materials from incoming trucks
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Material Handler Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience reviewing material certifications and receiving documentation
  • Experience in steel processing or metal manufacturing
  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Inventory control or warehouse experience
  • Familiarity with FIFO inventory systems
  • Experience supporting stamping, forming, or press operations
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers
