3RD SHIFT CNC PROGRAMMER - FT. WAYNE, INDIANA
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Fort, Wayne, Indiana area needs a 3rd Shift CNC Programmer. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Off Shift Premium, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains CNC equipment and responsible for programing and set up of Haas 3-axis & 5-axis CNC machines. Machine steel components and tooling to support a production automotive facility. Additionally, supports all preventative maintenance programs by performing the following duties within an Automotive Environment.
  • Programming CNC code from provided 3D CAD data utilizing Mastercam 2024-2025 software
  • Setting up appropriate machining tools, offsets, and materials as required
  • Operating CNC machines and verifying finished components as required
  • Ability to build one-off components to 3D models, not production machining
  • Operate other toolroom equipment as needed, i.e., manual mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, overhead crane, saw, etc.
  • Interacting with Design Engineers / Project Leaders / Toolmakers / Apprentices to develop manufacturable components with an eye for product improvement and potential build issues
  • Ensuring that the customer s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery, are understood and met
  • Ensuring the shop environment is safe, clean, and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
  • Identifies tooling needed to complete machining projects
  • Hard-cutting and machining of welded components
  • Observing all company safety rules, policies, and procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years of 3D programming experience on Mastercam 2019-2025
  • Minimum 5 years knowledge of 3D metal cutting and machining process
  • Strong problem-solving techniques & communication skills
  • Able to work individually with little supervision
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints
