Description
Garden View Landscape, Nursery & Pools is looking for an experienced landscape construction professional with experience as an Estimator or the knowledge, field experience and organizational skills to learn the position.
We are a high-end outdoor construction company specializing in complete landscape, pool, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, masonry, carpentry, outdoor living, and design/build projects. We are looking for someone who understands construction, can read plans, build accurate estimates, and help turn detailed designs into well-organized scopes of work.
Key Responsibilities
The estimator will help prepare detailed estimates for landscape and pool construction projects, including:
• Reviewing plans, drawings, site photos, and project notes • Performing quantity takeoffs • Estimating labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions • Working with designers, project managers, sales, and production teams • Creating organized scopes of work and cost breakdowns • Soliciting and reviewing subcontractor and vendor pricing • Identifying missing information, conflicts, or unclear scope items • Helping value-engineer projects when needed • Maintaining estimating accuracy and consistency across projects
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate is someone with experience in one or more of the following:
• Landscape construction estimating
• Pool construction estimating helpful but not necessary
• Hardscape, masonry, concrete, grading, drainage, irrigation, or lighting
• Reading construction plans and details
• Takeoffs, cost coding, and scope writing
• Working with subcontractors and vendors
• Residential outdoor construction projects
*Experience with Buildertrend, CAD plans, Excel, takeoff software, and/or construction estimating systems is a big plus

Compensation:
Depends on experience and ability ranging from $60,000 to $100,000
Higher compensation may be available for a senior estimator with proven experience in landscape, pool, hardscape, grading, drainage, masonry, lighting, carpentry, and subcontractor estimating.
