Job description

RN - Mother Baby

Methodist Stone Oak Hospital is seeking an RN for the Mother Baby unit. This is a travel position with a shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 13-week shifts per week for a total of 36 scheduled hours.

Location: Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, 1139 E Sonterra Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78258

Special Skills/Experience Required:

  • NRP
  • BLS
  • Ability to care for high risk Antepartum patients as well as Postpartum recoveries
  • Newborn Nursery experience
  • 2+ years of hospital experience

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed:

  • Experience with Advanced FM
  • RNC-OB certification
  • Meditech experience

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required:

  • ACTIVE TX RN LICENSE

Procedures performed on unit:

  • IV placement

Patient Experience Required:

  • Antepartum Care
  • Newborn Nursery Care

Dress Code:

  • Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
  • Clean and healthy nails, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc.
  • Neat and clean hair with no extreme styles or colors
  • Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
  • Body art should be covered whenever possible
  • Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited

Other Unit Guidelines/Policies:

  • Floating Guidelines: May float to LAD
  • Attendance Policies: The company wide attendance policy will be followed
