Job Summary:
Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a Cybersecurity Contractor to enhance their cybersecurity posture. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, conducting CIS Benchmark assessments, and managing security operations and asset inventory.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with internal and client-side stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across the environment
• Support threat response activities by coordinating with Security Operations and Engineering teams to contain and resolve active issues
• Track remediation progress and ensure timely closure of open findings
• Assist in conducting CIS (Center for Internet Security) Benchmark assessments across each subsidiary
• Document audit findings, flag gaps against benchmark standards, and support the development of remediation plans
• Review current WAF configurations and coverage across applicable systems
• Identify gaps, misconfigurations, or areas requiring rule updates and escalate recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Support the maintenance and accuracy of the enterprise asset inventory
• Collaborate with infrastructure and technology teams to ensure assets are properly catalogued and classified
• Work directly with stakeholders to walk through technical remediation steps (e.g., firewall rule changes), providing guidance and hands-on support as needed
• Submit and manage change tickets in accordance with the organization's change management process
• Serve as a liaison between security and infrastructure/technology teams to ensure changes are executed correctly and on time
• Supporting day-to-day cybersecurity monitoring and activities
• Identifying and helping remediate security weaknesses
• Maintaining visibility of hardware and software assets
• Basic application security (AppSec) awareness, secure coding concepts, and supporting audits/remediation (e.g., CIS controls)
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6-9 years of experience in Cybersecurity
• Experience with Vulnerability & Threat Response
• Ability to partner with internal and client-side stakeholders
• Experience in conducting CIS Benchmark assessments
• Ability to document audit findings and flag gaps against benchmark standards
• Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) review and configuration
• Experience in asset inventory management
• Ability to collaborate with infrastructure and technology teams
• Experience in stakeholder enablement and change management
• Experience in submitting and managing change tickets
• Experience in supporting day-to-day cybersecurity monitoring and activities
• Experience in identifying and helping remediate security weaknesses
• Experience in maintaining visibility of hardware and software assets
• Basic application security awareness and secure coding concepts
• Experience in supporting audits and remediation (e.g., CIS controls)
Preferred:
• Experience working with Security Operations and Engineering teams
