Description:

Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way.


The Barista will serve as the primary operator of Leo’s Coffee Co., independently overseeing the day-to-day coffee experience at Leo’s coffee cart in the Village located right outside of Southall Farm & Inn. The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, self-motivated, and confident working independently, with a genuine passion for coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.


Standard hours are Wednesday - Sunday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.


Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service while creating a welcoming experience for customers
  • Provide detailed descriptions of menu items and suggest offerings based on customer preferences
  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso beverages, cold brew, teas, and other menu items according to Leo’s Coffee Co. standards
  • Act as the primary resource for the operation, taking ownership of service, cleanliness, inventory, equipment and technology, and general troubleshooting. This position ensures the space is guest-ready, fully stocked, functioning properly, and supported from opening through close
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes, presentation standards, and drink trends
  • Monitor inventory and product levels, restock supplies, and communicate replenishment needs
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the service area
  • Understand the full menu, including daily specials and out-of-stock items
  • Set up, tear down and ensure spotless presentation of exterior seating areas, clearing trash and cleaning all surfaces as needed
  • Stay informed on Southall happenings, offerings, and events to confidently answer questions from guests and the local community
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Leo’s Coffee Leadership
Requirements:
  • Previous barista or hospitality experience in a restaurant or café setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions
