Job description

Role: Junior Data Automation & Analytics Developer

Location- Santa Clara, CA(Onsite)

  

What you’ll be doing

Support the development of data-driven automation and reporting solutions that connect to enterprise systems such as Databricks, Jira, and ServiceNow, and others 

Pull, clean, and organize data from Databricks, Jira, ServiceNow, and related business systems for reporting, dashboards, and operational workflows.

Build and maintain dashboards similar to tableau, PowerBI, and others built on claude code, cursor, etc that help teams track tickets, cases, tasks, service metrics, project status, and operational performance.

Assist with creating automated data refreshes, scheduled reports, and repeatable workflows to reduce manual reporting and data collection.

Develop basic data pipelines, queries, and scripts to extract, transform, and load data from APIs, databases, and enterprise tools.

Work with business and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into dashboards, data models, and automation tasks.

Help document data sources, field definitions, dashboard logic, and automation steps so solutions are easy to support and maintain.

Support troubleshooting of data issues, refresh failures, permission problems, and inconsistencies across reporting sources.

Contribute to reusable templates, queries, dashboard components, and automation patterns that can be used across teams.

Follow engineering and data best practices around version control, testing, access controls, documentation, and operational reliability.

What we need to see

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS, MS, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience, internship experience, project experience, or equivalent hands-on work with data, reporting, automation, or enterprise systems.
  • Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with data engineering, visualization, and analytics dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and scheduled refreshes.
  • Experience working with Databricks, SQL, notebooks, or lakehouse-style data environments.
  • Familiarity with pulling data from enterprise tools such as Jira and ServiceNow, including APIs, exports, connectors, or reporting tables.
  • Programming experience using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, joins, filters, calculated fields, and dashboard performance basics.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate data, and iterate on reports or automation workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to document work clearly.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Experience building analytics and BI dashboards using data from Jira, ServiceNow, or Databricks data.
