Job Description: Specialist, Organizational Change & Development (I677)
About DaVita & DaVita Technology
At DaVita, we often say that we are a community first and a company second. We care for our teammates with the same intensity with which we care for our patients. DaVita Technology is at the heart of our mission, undergoing a massive, multi-year transformation. Having recently merged our digital and IT capabilities into a unified "DaVita Technology" organization, we are accelerating how we deliver value. With major initiatives underway-spanning artificial intelligence, data strategies, and modern product delivery-we are building a proactive engine of transformation to shape the future of kidney care.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Specialist, Organizational Change & Development (HR Level: S4 / I677) to join our tight-knit Technology Change & Transformation team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Organizational Change & Development, this person will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations and tactical execution of our change practice.
In this role, you will act as the operational backbone for our team, managing and maintaining our change management tools, templates, and tracking mechanisms. As we push the evolution of our function forward, you will also play a key part in helping the team explore and integrate AI as a force multiplier to radically expand the capabilities and capacity of our change management practice.
You will directly support the broader team in the execution of high- and medium-priority change initiatives within the DaVita Technology organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently with moderate supervision, takes full ownership of their deliverables, and thrives in a dynamic environment where navigating a moderate to high level of ambiguity is required to get things done.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Support, Execution & AI Integration: * Support the operations and execution of the Change & Transformation team, driving the tactical delivery of change strategies for high- and medium-priority technology initiatives. * Manage, maintain, and continuously improve our change management toolkit (templates, tracking mechanisms, surveys, and reporting dashboards), while actively helping to identify and test AI tools as a force multiplier to expand our practice's capabilities. * Operate independently with some supervision, taking proactive ownership of assigned deliverables and ensuring they meet our quality standards.
Navigating Complex Technology Changes: * Partner with project leads and change managers to support complex technology transformations. * Leverage your background experience and exposure to project and change management in highly technical environments. * Support change efforts specific to AI-integration, data migrations, technical governance, data domains, and security initiatives. * Navigate a moderate to high level of ambiguity, demonstrating the agility to pivot and find solutions in a fast-paced, evolving technical landscape. * Proactively monitor the CIO portfolio to identify potential initiatives and projects that require change management support, bringing strategic observations and recommendations to leadership.
Communication, Analytics & Reporting: * Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and communication materials (including scheduled and ad hoc emails) tailored for technical and non-technical teammates. * Assist in the design, delivery, analysis, and reporting of metrics to track the activity, impact, and trajectory of change initiatives using surveys, interviews, and focus groups. * Synthesize data, run analyses on change progress, and report findings to help inform continuous improvement.
Program Design & Delivery: * Schedule, organize, and coordinate meetings, events, and training sessions. * Assess audience needs, make recommendations, and assist with the design and execution of deliverables, interventions, and activities that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and teammate engagement. * Develop trusted relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders across DaVita Technology. * Coordinate special projects and department-specific assignments on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in organizational change management, project management, communications, or HR-specifically within complex technology environments.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Technical Exposure: Proven exposure to tech-centric change initiatives, specifically touching on AI-integration, data migrations, technical governance, data domains, or security.
Dealing with Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and successfully navigate ambiguity to achieve results.
Core Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and active listening.
Data & Analytics: Experience synthesizing data, running analysis on impacts and change progress, and reporting out findings.
Tools: Proficiency with MS Office suite and modern collaboration/survey tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics). Eagerness to adopt and utilize generative AI tools is a strong plus.
Certifications
• Prosci Certified Change Practitioner (Preferred)
• Additional diagnostic certifications such as DiSC, Enneagram, MBTI, or HBDI (Preferred)
Work Environment
Location: Denver, CO (Preferred) / Remote Eligible
Salary: Compensation depends upon location and experience.
