Job description

An established electrical contractor is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety operations on large-scale ground-up construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and partnering closely with field leadership to maintain safe and efficient jobsite operations. The ideal candidate brings electrical construction safety experience and holds required industry certifications.
Safety Coordinator Responsibilities
- Support daily safety operations on ground-up electrical construction projects
- Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Identify hazards and work with field leadership to implement corrective actions
- Provide safety guidance and support to project teams working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and data center environments
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and documentation
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to field personnel
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures
- Monitor jobsite conditions and proactively address potential risks
- Partner with project managers and superintendents to promote a strong safety culture
Safety Coordinator Requirements:
- 3+ years of electrical safety experience on large ground-up commercial projects required
