The Datacenter Sales Leader - North America is responsible for leading the commercial growth strategy and execution for Sensata's datacenter business, driving adoption of the company's portfolio across components, subsystems, and system-level solutions. This role will focus on expanding Sensata's presence with hyperscale datacenter operators, OEMs, ODMs, EPCs, system integrators, and critical infrastructure partners by identifying strategic growth opportunities, securing design wins, and converting those opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial leadership with deep knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, power distribution, electrical protection, sensing, switching, thermal management, and power conversion technologies. This leader will build and maintain executive-level customer relationships, influence technology roadmaps and specifications, and lead complex sales pursuits from opportunity identification through commercialization.
In addition to direct customer engagement, this role will lead and develop a team of sales professionals and technical resources, including Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Field Application Engineers. Working closely with product management, engineering, operations, and executive leadership, this individual will help shape market strategy, identify emerging trends, and position Sensata for accelerated growth within the global datacenter market.

General Responsibilities
Responsible for the revenue generation
Directs sales and local sales administration resources
Oversees the training, development, and on-going motivation of local sales team
Directs the annual plan, quarterly updates, and long range planning processes
Oversees organization reports and biweekly highlights
Creates and implements sales structure
Responsible for sales organization with regard to account strategies, tactics, and management contacts
Oversees priorities and bonus outcomes for the sales team to ensure closure of key programs create training plans for each sales team to handle the dynamic nature of the market and counter the increasing array of purchasing tactics employed
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Develop and execute commercial growth strategies across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and cloud datacenter markets while building executive relationships with key decision makers across operators, OEMs, ODMs, EPCs, integrators, and strategic ecosystem partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities created by evolving datacenter architectures, including higher power density, liquid cooling, power distribution modernization, backup power systems, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Represent Sensata at customer engagements, industry events, technical workshops, and executive business reviews.

Strategic Sales & Business Development Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic account planning, opportunity management, and pursuit activities to secure design wins, platform specifications, and long-term commercial agreements.
  • Establish disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and sales operating rhythms to support aggressive growth objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop customer solutions leveraging Sensata's sensing, electrical protection, switching, and power electronics portfolio.

Technical & Commercial Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical sales efforts involving electrical protection, sensing, switching, thermal management, power conversion, inverter, and related infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define requirements, support product qualification, develop commercial proposals, and translate market insights into product and business growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitive activity, industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer requirements across the datacenter market.

Team Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial organization by driving collaboration, accountability, talent development, and customer-focused execution across sales, business development, and technical resources.

  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through strategic account management, business development, and commercialization of technologies within datacenter, critical infrastructure, power electronics, industrial technology, or related markets.

  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, electrical distribution systems, critical power applications, energy storage, cooling technologies, and related market trends.
  • Proven track record leading complex, technically-oriented sales pursuits involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and executive-level customer relationships.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving sales, engineering, product management, operations, and finance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience supporting global customers and business growth initiatives, with the ability and willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.

Base Salary Range: $168,800-$253,200
