Service Delivery Specialist

 

About the Position

Csquare is seeking a talented, highly motivated individual for the role of Service Delivery Specialist.  Service Delivery Specialists (SDS) are responsible for managing the implementation projects of datacenter products and services. The successful candidate will interface with clients, vendors, and numerous internal operations teams.

This role is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, controlling, and communicating all project activities to multiple stakeholders through a datacenter delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate is someone self-motivated, who can work with sometimes minimal guidance, and who preferably has experience managing datacenter, managed services, or telco solutions.

 

Essential Duties

  • Project manage a wide range of implementations across datacenter products and services. Duties include validating technical requirements, conveying requirements and tasks to technical personnel, and communicating solution status to clients and internal teams, and to leadership when required.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings involving multiple stakeholder groups. This involves coordinating technical and non-technical resources, reviewing simple technical documents and client requirements, and reporting on those requirements and associated timelines on a regular basis.
  • Manage internal and external expectations.  Communicating to clients, as well as to numerous internal operations teams, on the status of a given project, with specific focus on target deadlines and any changes that might affect those timelines.
  • Document small-medium-large size projects throughout an implementation lifecycle. Complete, timely, and accurate documentation is required to move projects forward, to hold stakeholders accountable, and to report on status until successful delivery.

 

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Demonstrate Project Management concepts. Can explain the necessary activities to validate requirements, schedule and manage tasks, identifying and communicating with stakeholders, and managing changes to project scope or completion date. Able to identify/prioritize risks, delivering mitigation plans and escalations when necessary. Maintains a professional composure in stressful situations.
  • Be able to work on projects independently. Exhibits a “take charge” attitude and a drive to show ownership and accountability. Provides creative, efficient solutions when working through obstacles. Demonstrates organized, structured discipline to achieve implementation projects in line with time and budget requirements.
  • Be able to communicate effectively both to individuals and groups, both verbally and in writing.  Able to provide explanations in a clear, concise, and positive manner.  Demonstrated ability to professionally control conversations, and to keep diverse groups on topic while making progress towards stated goals and timelines. 
  • Process multiple project tasks at a time. Exhibits a systematic and logical approach to prioritizing multiple projects with multiple tasks. Demonstrates the ability to work well in team environments and assist teams with complex tasks as needed.
  • Be able to identify and resolve problems involving scheduling, availability, and information or communication gaps. Knows how to identify issues, prioritize them, and how to access resources needed to resolve problems quickly.  Knows when to seek technical expertise to solve problems.  Knows how to rapidly escalate problems for management attention when needed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing complex projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong relationship building, negotiation, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of related work experience in mid to large size organizations
  • Datacenter, managed services, IT, or telco experience
  • Project Management certifications
  • Budget management experience
  • ServiceNow experience
