Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Analytical Development (AD) digital transformation roadmap for analytical laboratory results.
  • Design and maintain open-source code extraction algorithms and support large database activities.
  • Provide technical ownership for digital transformation projects, including data analytics, predictive modeling, and dashboards (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI) using open-source coding (R, Python).
  • Build and maintain core software engineering infrastructure for data platform engineering/operations (data wrangling, logging, performance benchmarking, multi-platform integration).
  • Contribute to data engineering/analytic pipelines and data platforms.
  • Coordinate with other development teams to improve interoperability and shared infrastructure.
  • Monitor data capture systems to identify inefficiencies and remove bottlenecks.
  • Support internal and external R&D projects and mature POCs into production-quality tools.
Qualifications
  • BS in CS/software engineering or related field with 11+ years relevant experience; or MS with 9+ years; or PhD with 3+ years.
  • Minimum 8 years combined experience in analytical environments using SQL, cloud environments, AWS, Python, DevOps, and RStudio.
  • ETL pipeline experience, data pre-processing, statistical concepts; ability to work in Python, R, Scala, C/C++, SQL.
  • (Plus) Exposure to Spark, Databricks, data lakes, data QA tools, ML tools.
  • Strong analytical software knowledge (Spotfire, Minitab, MATLAB) and experience maintaining multi-contributor open/closed-source projects.
  • Highly desirable: experience implementing technology for biologics/pharmaceuticals/devices (manufacturing or support).
  • Experience working with vendors/integrators/consultants.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and scientists.
