Summary:
The Donor Database Specialist is responsible for all financial donor data entry into Raiser's Edge NXT, managing all donor records management, and providing support of donor relations work of the development staff. Must love data and data entry.
Duties:
  • Process all donor and financial gift donations in Raiser's Edge NXT donor data base
  • Gather and input daily receipt of ACH, Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, PayPal, and IATS, matching gift detail, and Authorize.net transactions into Raiser's Edge NXT
  • Generate daily transaction sheets and summary reports
  • Calculate transaction fees for Finance to enter into General Ledger
  • Coordinate the strategic integration of other technology systems and processes with Raiser's Edge NXT. (The Giving Block, JustGiving, Luminate Online, GiveSmart, Omatic Software, etc.)
  • Help finance staff with monthly reconciliation between NetSuite and Raiser's Edge NXT
  • Develop and execute major/complex queries, exports, imports, reports and global updates including NCOA (National Change of Address) reports
  • Reliably meet documentation and reporting requirements for UFB and for all external agencies including End of Month (EOM) strategic plan data, Quarterly Pulse Report (QPR), Network Activity Reports (NAR) etc.
  • Fill out and send donation-matching forms to the appropriate companies received from donors
  • Maintain confidentiality of donor and other protected information
  • Support Development, Communications and Finance staff with administrative duties as needed

  • Associate's Degree in business management, technology or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience with data base applications or CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Exceptional attention to detail; quick learner with ability to retain knowledge
  • Working knowledge of online/digital marketing concepts and reporting skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time, work at a fast pace, and manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced query, export/import, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • Quick learner with ability to retain knowledge
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of job description if needed
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during peak workload seasons, especially during holiday giving season

Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. During peak seasons, all UFB staff may be asked to assist with receiving donations, picking up donations or other customer service work outside the normal scope of duties.
