Location: Houston, TX Description:
Job Title: Equipment Engineer/Project Manager
Location: Little Rock, AR or Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Construction Engineering team in implementing the regional 4G and 5G macro new build program.
  • Provide project updates upon request and communicate clearly with the Engineering team.
  • Utilize system tools such as FUZE, including SPM and the PO Module, as well as Gmail and Google Sheets.
  • Address technical issues, problem-solve, and review new technical products/services to enhance the overall network.
  • Understand equipment requirements and adapt to new equipment changes based on emerging technologies.
  • Manage purchase orders for equipment, ensuring timely orders and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Possess knowledge of estimating, project controls, purchasing, and related project management activities.
  • Manage projects with a job value of $50M to $200M and a total manpower of 500+.
  • Lead a comprehensive project team to deliver safe and quality projects to clients.
  • Examine estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and project schedules for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as needed.
  • Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other required exhibits.
  • Review bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all events, discussions, and issues.
  • Provide monthly projections of project status.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and other required meetings designated by the supervisor.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task project requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with cell site construction or hands-on experience with base station equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Skills:
  • 2-5 years of experience with Samsung equipment and cell site construction.
  • Knowledge and experience using FUZE or project tracking databases.

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Required Shift:
  • Standard 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Weekend work may be required on an as-needed basis.
