Job Description

Project Manager: eForms Replacement
This project is to replace an existing application using InfoPath technology to fully automate and to build a paperless system for initiating, auditing, tracking, recording / documenting, reporting and obtaining metrics for the Pipeline Integrity Group's Field Maintenance Report. When digging is required to inspect or repair a pipeline, a highly regulated process is employed with associated forms and approvals dependent upon the attributes of the assets in scope. Existing tools in the client's enterprise architecture include SharePoint, LiveLink and SAP although these may not be the technology on which the replacement will be developed. The software may interface to SAP, an internal system under development: PT-DMS, an Oracle "industry standard" database called PODS, to pre-populate as well as capture new information from the forms. Both a mobile and office interface will be required.
Given the above, experience of projects addressing complex workflows, mobile application development, mobile technologies, identification and attributes of technical assets, interfacing to the SAP Plant Maintenance module, working with engineers, would all be beneficial.
The project that produced the original system and the system itself are not considered successful, so a mature, experienced project manager will be required to ensure success and address existing perceptions.
This project manager will have an opportunity to navigate the learning curve of our client's organization and project management processes by taking over two small existing projects to gather, scrub and load data into the PODS database , which are relatively simple projects mainly requiring project control skills.
