Business Support Specialist III - Database Admin

First National is seeking a Business Support Specialist to actively inventory, catalog and maintain the bank's enterprise database systems. Position works closely with Information Technology, Information Security, application support teams and business units to implement and maintain database solutions that support the bank.
Duties may include:
  • Implements and monitors database maintenance plans, including 3rd party applications
  • Targets index fragments at <= 5% on a daily basis
  • Monitors database availability, capacity, performance and overall health
  • Leads projects related to database security, modernization and encryption

Salary: $37/hour minimum. Job/salary offer would be commensurate with job level and experience.

GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
Manages delegated assignments, projects, tasks, and responsibilities of substantial risk and complexity, coordinates allocated resources, and identifies and manages risk by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Develops implementation plans in conjunction with the assignment owners, assembles teams, and coordinates individual responsibilities to ensure timely completion of related tasks; communicates with functional area managers regarding status of assignments, including costs and scheduling. Executes and completes assignments ensuring objectives are met; meets quality standards and the production of expected deliverables.
  3. Analyzes and reports on the results' effectiveness, usage, and where applicable, profitability after completion of the assignment, making recommendations for further actions where necessary.
  4. Performs workflow analysis to identify labor-intensive tasks and recommends automation and process changes to streamline workflows and to increase resource usage efficiency.
  5. Assists in developing of functional area's plans, goals, objectives, budgets, and procedures.
  6. Stays abreast of pertinent federal and state regulations and interacts with compliance staff to ensure assignment components are compliant with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  7. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
