There are an estimated 80 million people around the world today in need of a wheelchair.  We are focused and committed to being a leading provider of mobility in developing countries, but beyond placing a recipient in a wheelchair, we are bringing transformation that opens doors to education, employment opportunities, and community that these individuals only dreamed of before receiving the gift of mobility.
Free Wheelchair Mission is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager who not only meets the requirements of the job but has an interest in being part of an organization that is making a significant difference in the lives of individuals in need throughout the world.
       
Job Summary:
Partnering with outside agencies and internal teams, while using cutting edge marketing automation and donor platform technologies, the person in this role will use direct response marketing methodologies to build scalable, public relations, digital donor acquisition, and cultivation programs in order to grow long-term revenue for the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage direct response digital donor acquisition to acquire thousands of new donors each year.
  • Partner with an outside agency and/or directly plan and execute digital ad campaigns.
  • A/B and multivariate testing of ad creative, media sites, offers, and formats (images vs. video, etc.) to drive down per donor acquisition cost over time.
  • Monitor and evaluate best performing combinations, add news ones and shift the mix of media and creatives to the highest performing ones (this aspect can be managed by an outside agency).
  • Along with the rest of the marketing team, development, and operations, execute and test a new donor email marketing plans to convert prospects and identify and cultivate new donors using marketing automation to increase their long-term donor value (LTDV).
  • Manage direct response marketing with a focus on Year 1 to Year 2 retention. automated email cultivation of unassigned donors and identifying high-capacity donors and getting those prospective assigned donors into automated engagement plans in collaboration with the Development team, esp. Mid-Donor team.
  • Test connected television (CTV), direct mail acquisition, concerts, and other new campaigns and channels as a potential new donor acquisition channel.
  • With the Donor Platform Manager or Associate Marketing Manager, track and maximize the long-term donor value (LTDV) of new donors acquired.
  • Create a quarterly Public Relations calendar along with media outreach plans and pitches.
  • Manage pitch plans and communications supporting key events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Manage our press kits and “In the News” websites.
  • Maintain openness to time-sensitive or unpredictable marketing and PR needs, especially related to emergency response communications and media interviews.
  • Expert user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka Pardot Engagement Studio) and any future SMS messaging apps.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned by direct supervisor. 
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required. 
  • Share the message of Free Wheelchair Mission and our vision. 
Minimum Experience and Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in marketing or business preferred.
  • Proven record of 3+ years in direct response digital customer acquisition and/or email database marketing.
  • Experience working with and/or managing external PR or advertising agencies preferred.
  • Nonprofit experience a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Pardot or similar CRM and marketing automation systems required.
  • Savvy with direct response marketing and advertising techniques, tools, and trends.
  • Strong marketing analytics and direct response copyrighting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent time management, trouble-shooting skills, adaptable, with ability to quickly pivot.
  • Innovative, strategic creativity in developing campaigns and cultivating media.

Compensation:
Depending upon qualifications and experience, $55,000-$80,000 annually.
