Location: Columbia, SC (3 days onsite per week)

Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Project Scope:
The Applications Team supports enterprise systems and applications responsible for critical business operations. This role focuses on the design, development, support, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications and database integrations using Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL database administration, enterprise data architecture, system integration, reporting, and production support in large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and support enterprise-level database solutions and integrations using Microsoft SQL Server
• Develop reports, vendor exports, data warehouse tasks, and data integration processes
• Identify, extract, transform, and analyze data based on business requirements and governance standards
• Perform detailed data analysis and data profiling activities to improve data quality and accuracy
• Interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively using advanced reporting techniques
• Monitor and optimize database performance, scalability, and growth strategies
• Design, test, validate, and support system interfaces and data exchange processes
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement and maintain interface procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve production interface and batch processing issues
• Perform code reviews, technical reviews, and logical validations
• Serve as the primary DBA for enterprise applications and databases
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
• Monitor vendor development activities and support operational oversight
• Develop and maintain metadata, data governance, and information architecture standards
• Support implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements related to enterprise data management
• Participate in system architecture discussions and recommend long-term improvements
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale system architecture and enterprise production environments
• Experience overseeing software development vendors and project deliverables
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and development
• Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2022
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, and/or .NET technologies
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
