Description:

The scope and responsibilities of the Technical Services Specialist encompass the following:


Technical Services Department

  • Responsible for data entry of case information
  • Responsible for data entry of warranty information
  • Maintain multiple warranty databases for products
  • Data entry for multiple associated databases (TINA, Maximizer, etc.)
  • Learn product lines and product applications
  • Receive and validate technical inquiries from Sales, Marketing, and Education Teams
  • Respond to technical inquiries, with assistance from Technical Services Team, Product Development Team, Product Management, and/or Director of Technical Services when required
  • Draft TINA Database entries for common questions and technical updates
  • Maintain administrative files with respect to deadlines and schedules of projects and activities
  • Participate in development of new, and improvement of existing, Technical Services processes
  • Participate in Schluter business development projects, as required
  • Participate in training as required (receiving and providing)
  • Special projects, as requested by management

Laboratory Related Responsibilities

  • Participate / execute laboratory testing in accordance with industry standards or as required by “custom” testing
  • Evaluate testing data and provide reports based on results
  • Work with Lab personnel and in laboratory to maintain DITRA-HEAT test equipment
  • Special projects, as requested by management
Requirements:
  • General computer skills – Email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), databases
  • Works well in a team environment as well as individually
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Tile Installer / Construction - at least five years’ experience preferred
  • Project Management experience desired
