Your Mission:

Join ClearEdge as a Database Engineer II where you will help transition from manual system security evaluations to an automated, streamlined process. You'll leverage your expertise in database design and development to create robust solutions that enhance continuous monitoring, assessment, and data gathering throughout project lifecycles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop workflows, database structures, and parsing software that meet the evolving needs of the organization while ensuring efficient data retrieval and management.
You Will Excel in this Role if You Are:

A Day in the Life:
  • Develop and maintain database structures that fit seamlessly into the overall system architecture
  • Lead the creation of new workflows to replace existing manual processes, enhancing efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise for database design, implementation, and data analysis
  • Support the development and testing of Python-based ReST endpoints and microservices using Django and Flask frameworks
  • Interact with databases such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL to send data in JSON format to UI front ends
Must Haves:
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Database Engineer in similar programs and contracts
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with databases like MongoDB or MariaDB
  • Experience using Django or Flask for web application development
  • Understanding of ReST endpoints and microservice architecture
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation
  • Experience with AWS, C2S, or other cloud computing environments
  • Knowledge of Docker for containerization
  • Proficiency with IDEs like Visual Studio Code
  • Understanding of JSON and XML serialization
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Git version control
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
