Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: * Implement modern data management practices in alignment with GSA and federal standards. * Design, update, and maintain logical and physical data models for supported applications.

* Optimize database performance, including indexing, SQL tuning, and caching strategies. * Develop strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and database security. * Perform data migration between database environments, including cloud and on-premise.

* Manage database maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and upgrades. * Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on data integration and application monitoring needs. * Document technical database architectures, dependencies, and configurations.

* Support data quality by implementing monitoring, anomaly detection, and data cleanup efforts. * Perform root cause analysis for incidents and ensure database system health and KPIs are maintained. Qualifications Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant technical field.

* 3-7 years of professional experience in database development and administration. * Strong skills in SQL optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling. * Proficiency with relational database management systems like PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, particularly within AWS or cloud-based environments.

* Hands-on experience with data migrations, backup, and recovery strategies. * Knowledge of federal data security standards, including encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP). * Experience collaborating within Agile frameworks and integrating DevSecOps practices.

* Familiarity with monitoring tools and methodologies to track database reliability and performance. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Preferred Qualifications * Exposure to NoSQL or non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB). * Advanced expertise with AWS database services (e.g., RDS, Aurora).

* Experience with modern data integration tools and techniques, including ETL/ELT pipelines. * Understanding of Service Level Objectives (SLOs), error budget management, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles. * Certification in database technologies or AWS database-related specializations.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration and documentation. * Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, integration with databases, and implementing advanced analytical workflows. * Experience supporting the General Services Administration (GSA) Public Trust clearance is required for this position.
