Job description

Position Title: ODI Developer
Location: Victor, NY
Duration: 11 Months
Position Summary
The ETL Developer will be responsible for the design and development of new ETL processes utilizing Oracle Data Integrator to develop a Global Data Warehouse that supports corporate wide reporting and analytical initiatives. You will participate in all phases of the data warehouse lifecycle. He/she will develop and analyze requirements, map the system to the data ware house schemas and incorporate future data sources into schemas. In addition this person will be responsible for detailed technical designs, identifying technological risks, participate in the implementation phase, design walk through, and recommend technology solutions for the data warehousing projects.
Responsibilities
• Analyze business data requirements to produce relevant ETL architecture deliverables (source analysis, source to target maps, ETL flows)
• Develop source to target maps and identify transformation rules
• Create data integration blueprint and install, configure and tune ETL infrastructure to support the data warehouse solution
• Develop ETL flows and framework to support ETL development
• Development of ETL processes utilizing Oracle Data Integrator
• Work closely with business and technical teams to understand, document, design and code ETL processes
• Optimize data warehouse to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications such as Cognos and other analytics tools
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc)
• 3+ years working on BI/DW Projects
• 3+ years of deep experience as an ETL Architect/Developer well versed in ETL tool usage, architecture, design, and development
• Substantial ETL architecture design experience within data warehousing environments governed by applying appropriate methodologies and ETL standards
• Ability to design ETL technical/functional specifications
• Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling through use of data modeling is a plus
Must have experience with Oracle Data Integrator
• Experience working with SAP is strongly desired
• Experience in the beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods industry helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and very strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels in the organization.
• Ability to adapt and react quickly to changing business needs.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and work on a team or individually.
