About the Role
Prime Communications is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Database Developer & Business Analyst to join our growing team in Sugar Land, TX. This combined role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering and business insight - someone who can build and maintain robust database solutions while also translating business needs into actionable reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Database Development
• Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, views, and queries across MySQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments
• Build and support automated data pipelines that feed into retail performance dashboards and reporting tools
• Assist in debugging and optimizing existing database objects and ETL processes
• Participate in data modeling and schema design discussions
• Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across multiple database platforms
Business Analysis
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and scheduled reports using SQL-based tooling
• Analyze data discrepancies and support root cause analysis for reporting issues
• Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities
