Job description

Title:

Procurement Intern

We're currently seeking highly motivated Procurement Intern within KBR's Technology Solutions team. For over 100 years, KBR has been a leader and trusted provider for technologies, licensing and supplying full units and key equipment in thousands of installations around the world. From refining and petrochemicals to ammonia and fertilizers, KBR has the portfolio to deliver pioneering and best-in-class processing technology solutions that reliably, efficiently and safely optimize a wide range of plants and facilities.

Working alongside leadership, KBR interns will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills through hands-on learning. Learning opportunities will include drafting requests for quotations, interfacing with suppliers, supporting new business proposals, preparing reports and presentations.

Responsibilities will include working alongside senior specialists to review vendor manufacturing progress, drawings submittals, non-conformity resolutions, overall scheduling tracking and other expediting activities. These activities will provide intern with invaluable experience that could be utilized in any related roles. Furthermore, it is KBR's goal to evaluate its interns for potential entry-level openings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Management, or related field
  • Must have intermediate Excel / Database skills.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing, equipment design processes, and scheduling tracking.
  • Must be local to the Houston metro area.
  • Able to work 20-30 hours per week.
