Data Coordinator
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Salary: $62,000 - $70,000
The Choice is managing a direct-hire search for a Data Coordinator on behalf of our client, a highly-regarded association in the higher education and public health sectors.
The Data Coordinator is an integral role on the organization’s Research and Data team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in survey research, data management, and reporting who enjoys working with complex datasets and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and administration of annual surveys, including preparing communications, distributing surveys, and assisting respondents throughout the process.
- Perform data validation, editing, verification, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct data entry, extraction, downloads, and basic statistical analysis.
- Assist with preparing annual reports, maintaining data tables, and supporting reporting initiatives.
- Generate standard and custom reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization on survey development, data collection, reporting, and research projects.
- Support special projects and additional research initiatives as assigned.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Public Policy, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Research Methods, or another related quantitative field.
- Coursework in statistics, research methods, survey methodology, data analysis, program evaluation, or similar disciplines.
- Minimum of two years of experience in survey research, data analysis, research support, or a related role.
- Experience working within healthcare, higher education, nonprofit organizations, or membership associations is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency with statistical and survey software such as SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Microsoft Access, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
