POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate and manage the collection, validation, and submission of Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Support campuses and departments in maintaining high-quality data systems that contribute to student achievement, organizational accountability, and informed decision-making.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma, bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in school district administrative support position that required collecting and entering data
  • Minimum 4 years of experience coding within Texas Student Data System (TSDS) and PEIMS data in school district/Charter (Required)

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws pertaining to student data reporting
  • Knowledge of TEA Student Attendance Accounting Handbook and PEIMS/TSDS Data Standards, TREX, Unique ID
  • Skill in computer applications and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Student Information Systems) to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases and perform word processing
  • Ability to present oral and written information in a comprehensive and organized manner in group or individual settings
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer service to co-workers, staff and district personnel in resolving related issues
  • Ability to work independently and perform a variety of complex activities simultaneously
  • Ability to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
  • Ability to use personal computer, develop spreadsheets, databases, and perform word processing
