Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in North Carolina or Massachusetts.

This position assists the development and support of infrastructure that supports the Bank's database technologies. Serves as a technical resource in project planning and management, problem resolution, and hardware or software support. Presents technical alternatives and solutions to management that are reliable, adaptable, and cost-effective. Assists technical teams on assigned projects and collaborates effectively across the organization. Implements, upgrades, and tests technical systems that ensure the Bank's applications run smoothly. Provides consultative guidance to associates, management, and business units through expertise in multiple technologies. Provides consultative direction and technical advice on to the Bank's software, hardware, and related database infrastructure. Supports all areas of Technology and Operations in addressing reliability, availability, scalability, security, and recovery. Provide on-call support to ensure availability and reliability of database infrastructure. Evaluates the performance of existing and proposed systems components in delivering solutions for technology, operations, and business needs. Analyzes hardware platforms, operating systems, applications, and data assets. Provides key insight into new systems software, hardware, and applications. Investigates solutions for enhanced data recovery. Supports all areas of Technology and Operations in addressing reliability, availability, scalability, security, and recovery. Provides support for technical systems that execute business applications at a high level of ability and expertise. Configures, installs, and upgrades systems. Manages technical projects and assists management with other business initiatives. Resolves complex technical problems and failures and automates tasks for improved efficiencies. Maintains a strong knowledge base in order to effectively consult and direct others on technical matters. Communicates effective and clear technical information across platforms. This is a remote role that may be hired in North Carolina or Massachusetts.


Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field plus eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or eight (8) years of experience as a Database Analyst, Data Architect, SQL Developer, Data Engineer, Technology Lead or related occupation.

Requires experience specializing in Railway domains, Venture Capital relations, equipment finance, and commercial banking technologies (both on-premises and Cloud SQL). Requires proficiency with database installations, upgrades, instance migrations and patching, ensuring smooth database operations. Requires broad understanding and in-depth knowledge of relational database constructs. Targeting all aspects of security management. Requires experience with various tools or utilities used in supporting database platforms (Commvault, TOAD, DBVisualizer, Idera, and Solarwinds). Requires strong experience in design of databases, structured query language, and experience with multiple database platforms using SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Postgres. Requires experience with cloud database governance, access management, managing controls and related reporting for all database security needs. Requires experience in supporting environments with 24x7 on-call in a corporate workplace. Requires experience in the financial sector.

This is a remote role that may be hired in North Carolina or Massachusetts.

The base pay for this position is generally between $136,448 to $205,061 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
