Central Intake Specialist

At Liberty Hospice we understand the unique needs of our patients and families facing terminal illness. That is why Liberty Hospice provides our hospice patients with state-of-the-art care and pain management services, delivered by our specially trained staff with emphasis on strength, dignity and compassion.

We are currently seeking an experienced:

CENTRAL INTAKE SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Enter basic demographic information for referrals into the current computer database.
  • Maintain the current MD licensure file by looking up licensure for new and current physicians and maintaining correct licensure renewal dates.
  • Verifying MD PECOS status is ongoing.
  • File intake paperwork as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring incoming/outgoing faxes and printer.
  • Enter referral non-acceptances into the database.
  • Assist with other computer entry or other tasks as assigned by intake.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate, at least one year of medical/transcription experience recommended.
  • Good typing skills a must. Prefer adequate knowledge of medical terminology. Filing skills. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of various computer programs, including Word and Excel.
