Job Summary

Position: TRC Data Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

Description

  • Responsible for conducting clinical data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Develops and integrates data structures and workflows with electronic health records.
  • Facilitates program performance monitoring, evaluation research, and publication.
  • Provides data management training and education.
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing, and reporting on performance improvements and presenting data analysis findings in strategy meetings.
  • Develops and implements performance measures and program evaluation designs.
  • Collaborates on publishable research studies aimed to advance the TRC model and engages in research to support the TRC program manager in grant development.
  • Facilitates all training and education related to Grady TRC data management.
  • Determines the TRC's data collection needs and develops its data structures based on the TRC's program design, performance measurement, program evaluation, research, and reporting requirements.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains a HIPAA-compliant database, datasets, data collection instruments, and data management systems customized for the TRC implementation outside and in connection with Grady's EMR.
  • Constructs data collection process that mirrors TRC Clinician workflow. Integrates TRC data collection methods, workflows, and structures with Epic. Ensures data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and availability.
  • Develops survey designs and electronic survey instruments and facilitates survey data collection and reporting.
  • Extracts, transforms, analyzes, and visualizes clinical data from Grady's analytical databases (Epic/Clarity/Caboodle) and other TRC's data sources using SQL, Access/VBA, R, Power BI, Tableau and other data tools.
  • Designs, develops, implements, and maintains TRC's data dashboards for performance monitoring and program performance improvement.
  • Provides regular performance reporting to CJCC and other stakeholders via VSSR, OPM, iMPROVE and/or other tools.
  • Develops analytical reports for the TRC clinical team and other stakeholders for operational support, performance monitoring, data-driven and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Conducts scholarly, empirical, and secondary, literature-based research on violent crime, its social and psychological impacts, and relevant public health/policy interventions to facilitate program review, logic model improvement, grant development, program design and evaluation projects.

Minimum Requirements

Must have master's degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Policy Analysis, Program Evaluation, or a related field.

Must have 2 years of experience conducting performance measurement and evaluation research and data analysis in the public health/policy/administration field performing the following:

  • Primary (observational and experimental) and secondary research, data analysis, data science, and data management for research including R programming, collecting and cleaning data, statistical data analysis, developing data products using R, and conducting reproducible research in R using multiple data sources.
  • Applied research, data analysis, data programming, data visualization, and data management, report development and presentation using R, SPSS, Stata, and Excel.
  • Scholarly and applied research in program evaluation and performance measurement including research design, literature reviews, empirical quantitative and qualitative research, statistical and content analysis.
  • Survey research including survey research design, survey instrument design, survey administration, data collection, and analysis using Qualtrics, RedCap, and other advanced survey development and research tools.
  • Teaching/training data analysis and statistics, and presenting data analysis findings.
  • Scholarly and grant writing.
  • Conference presentations of research/data analysis findings.

Must have current Epic accreditations in Cogito/Clinical/Clarity/Caboodle Data Models.
