Job description

Understand and begin independently executing manufacturer and investigator-initiated research protocols and projects.

Work directly with patients to coordinate study-related activities in accordance with protocol guidelines.

Perform patient screening, recruitment, and obtain informed consent for participation in research studies.

Maintain exceptionally detailed records; enter data into case report forms, source documentation, study and regulatory binders, and patient binders.

Perform data entry into electronic data capture (EDC) systems.

Accompany patients to study-related activities at hospitals, labs, and imaging sites as needed.

Assist in the preparation of IRB documents, including amendments and continuing review submissions, under the supervision of the Associate Director or Principal Investigator.

Support quality control activities, including follow-up on sponsor requests for data clarification.

Assist in identifying, reporting, and following up on adverse events and serious adverse events.

Collaborate with research partners.

Advocate for patient well-being and safety above protocol needs or requirements.

Achieve the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice and human subjects protection in all research activities.

Place patient safety and orthopedic outcomes above any research protocol component.

Other duties as requested and required to manage research protocols and execute research activities.
