Position Summary

ย VantageWorks is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and support the data infrastructure that powers our growing organization. You'll develop data pipelines, improve data quality, and create scalable solutions that support reporting, business intelligence, and future AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.

Integrate data from APIs, flat files, cloud platforms, and operational systems.

Clean, validate, transform, and document data.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.

Develop Python scripts for automation and data transformation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant experience.

Strong SQL skills- writing, debugging, and optimizing queries against real business data

Python (Pandas or similar) for data work.

Experience with a cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or equivalent.

Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.

Experience integrating APIs and flat-file data.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Ability to work with real-world data: profiling, cleaning, validating, documenting


Preferred Experience

3-5 years of experience.

Exposure to Lakehouse/Medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold)

ERP, Payroll/HCM, CRM, or EHR data.

Power BI semantic models.

Exposure to AI/LLM tooling (APIs, embeddings, retrieval)ย 

Git and version control
