Sr. Data Warehouse Architect

Collette is seeking a Sr. Data Warehouse Architect to join our Data & Analytics Team. This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands‑on, and strategic Senior Data Warehouse Architect to lead the implementation of enterprise data and analytics solutions. You will define, design, and implement scalable data solutions that support analytics, AI, business intelligence, data governance, and operational integrations, while ensuring data quality and integrity. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing strategies for future data integration, business intelligence, and AI data agent capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in modern cloud data platforms, especially Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric, with strong business acumen. This individual will play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making and advancing enterprise data modernization initiatives.

Primary Functions
  • Key stakeholder in the evolution of our strategic roadmap; help identify, define, and incorporate modern capabilities and approaches.
  • Design a scalable, secure, and resilient data platform supporting enterprise reporting, self‑service analytics, AI/ML, and operational workloads.
  • Establish architectural patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, integration, and consumption.
  • Lead the implementation of the modern enterprise data solution leveraging cloud‑based data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Matillion.
  • Drive platform modernization and migration initiatives from legacy environments.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise‑wide initiatives based on business requirements while following 3NF and dimensional approaches.
  • Design appropriate data assets and structures – Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Data Lake, and Reporting/Analytics layer.
  • Design and develop robust data integration architecture – Data Pipelines, ELT – that meets the SLAs and performance requirements.
  • Define and implement new modern patterns for data engineering including prompt engineering and coding agents (e.g., Snowflake Cortex Code, Microsoft Copilot, Claude).
  • Design and write code for ELT data solutions.
  • Be responsible for data quality and performance of the data value chain.
  • Design and develop data pipelines for various patterns including unstructured/semi‑structured data, API, real‑time data streaming, etc.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various sources.
Data Governance & Quality
  • Partner with Data Governance teams to establish metadata management, lineage, master data management, and data quality standards.
  • Manage Data Governance (Metadata Mgmt., Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Access & Security, Data Privacy, Compliance).
  • Implement architectural controls supporting privacy, security, and retention requirements.
  • Collaborate with governance and catalog teams to ensure data discoverability and trusted data assets.
  • Define architecture standards supporting enterprise BI platforms such as Power BI.
  • Enable scalable semantic models, reusable data products, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Contribute and support the development of Snowflake Cortex and Microsoft Copilot Data Agents.
  • Support advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives by designing data architectures that maximize accessibility and reliability.
Leadership
  • Lead design and development reviews and provide technical guidance on complex data initiatives.
  • Mentor data engineers, analysts, and architects on best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.
  • Influence technology strategy and vendor evaluations.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern data technologies including:
    • Snowflake
    • Microsoft Fabric

    • SQL Server
    • Power BI
  • Strong SQL skills and Python skills.
  • Experience implementing data governance and data catalogs.
