What is a Data Warehouse Architect?

A Data Warehouse Architect is a specialized IT professional responsible for designing, building, and maintaining an organization's data warehouse systems. They create the architecture that allows large volumes of data to be collected, stored, and accessed efficiently for analysis and reporting. Data Warehouse Architects work with stakeholders to understand business requirements, choose appropriate database technologies, and ensure data integrity and security.
