Job Summary:
HCL Global Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Python Data Engineer to work closely with reservoir engineering and analyst teams. The role involves productionizing analytical code and automating data manipulations while ensuring compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities:
• Work with different teams to understand existing analytical workflows and models.
• Refactor and productionize Python code mainly for maintainability. Performance and scalability are secondary for this work.
• Develop and deploy automated solutions in Databricks and integrate with Spotfire dashboards.
• Implement best practices for version control, testing, and documentation.
• Ensure data security and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Advanced Python (data manipulation, automation, and object-oriented programming).
• Databricks (PySpark and SQL data manipulation), Spotfire (data visualization and integration).
• ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud-based workflows.
• Git/GitHub.
• Unit testing, CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of reservoir engineering workflows and oil & gas industry data.
• Ability to interpret and refactor code developed by reservoir engineer into robust, production-ready solution.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
