Job Purpose:

The Analyst, Digital & Loyalty Analytics is the hands-on quantitative engine for Panera's loyalty and customer intelligence team. Sitting within the Business Analytics organization, you will write complex queries, analyze guest transactional data, measure CRM campaign performance, and build automated dashboards that drive decision-making across the MyPanera Loyalty program and digital channels.

This role requires strong technical execution in SQL and visualization tools, combined with a natural curiosity for consumer behavior and digital product performance.

Location: Newton, MA (Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Extraction & SQL Execution: Write clean, efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate guest, transaction, and campaign data across large-scale enterprise data environments.
  • CRM & Loyalty Campaign Measurement: Analyze the performance of loyalty offers, email/app messaging, and personalized promotions to measure redemption rates, incremental sales, transaction lift, and margin impact.
  • Dashboard & Visualization Development: Design, deploy, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards tracking key loyalty KPIs, including active member growth, subscription retention (Unlimited Sip Club), and customer lifecycle trends.
  • A/B Testing & Experimentation Support: Execute readout evaluations for marketing tests and digital feature rollouts, applying statistical methods to measure baseline vs. test performance and incremental lift.
  • Customer Segmentation & Behavioral Analysis: Perform ad-hoc exploratory analysis to understand guest frequency patterns, lapsed behavior, category affinity, and trade-down risks.
  • Data Integrity & Validation: Partner with data engineering teams to validate data pipelines, test tracking schemas, and resolve data quality issues across CRM and loyalty databases.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or marketing analytics (Retail, QSR, E-commerce, or agency background preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong hands-on SQL skills required (joins, window functions, complex aggregations).
    • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
    • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery) and Excel.
  • Analytical Mindset: Foundational knowledge of digital/loyalty metrics (e.g., offer redemption, customer retention, A/B test lift, conversion rates).
  • Communication: Ability to summarize analytical findings clearly in slide format and discuss results with cross-functional partners.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field.
Competitive Pay: $83,686 - $95,402 annually
Equal Opportunity Employer: Disabled/Veterans

The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and geographical location.
