Job description

Group Leader - Production Control Analytics

Production Control Department

Position Summary:

The Group Leader - Production Control Analytics (PCA) leads the development and execution of data analysis, reporting, and system solutions that support operational performance. This role supervises and coordinates team activities, partners with stakeholders to define and prioritize project work, and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality analytics aligned with business objectives. The Group Leader drives process improvements, enhances data visualization, and supports decision-making.

Outline of duties:

  • Serve as the central hub for Production Control Analytics (PCA), leading data analysis efforts and the design, development, and maintenance of tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with requesting stakeholders to define project scope, assess requirements, and assign work appropriately within the PCA team.
  • Manage and oversee multiple development projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Production Control group functions to identify opportunities for improved system capabilities, enhanced data visualization, and greater process efficiency.
  • Apply a strong business-value mindset when developing solutions, incorporating digital awareness, risk assessment, business continuity considerations, and capability requirements.
  • Lead PC analytics solutions by advising Production Control on data management best practices and delivering descriptive and predictive analytics that positively impact organizational KPIs.
  • Partner with the Production Control Planning group to develop production simulations that support operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance systems for tracking and reporting labor/HC requirements, budgets, and authorizations, including improved methods for capturing inputs from individual manufacturing areas.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Systems or Technical related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in data analytics development utilizing Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, Power BI, or similar software.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing Technology related field
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
