Job Title: PLC Engineer
Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite- 5 days a week)
Work Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST
Travel Required - 30%

Must Have: PLC expertise, OT, HMI, Control Systems, machine connectivity
Good to Have: MQTT, Edge Integration, machine learning, IT/OT Integration
Roles & Responsibilities/ Technical Depth:
- Expertise in ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Siemens S7 series, MELSEC, Omron, ABB controllers.
- Covers PLC/DCS/Safety Programming, HMI/SCADA/Batch Programming, and Controls Library Creation.
- Includes modernization strategies, compliance (21 CFR Part 11 / GMP), and OT lifecycle management.
- OT modernization, line integration, and solution architecture.
- hardware/software BoM, commissioning, and hypercare support.
- Retrofitting hardware, configuring PLCs, integrating sensors for real time data extraction.
- Develop communication protocols and data flow configurations.
- Support historian setup and ISA 95 alignment.
- Standardize procedures for connected machines deployment.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance SCADA/MES/IIoT systems.
- FAT & SAT commissioning, industrial automation projects
- Integrate industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP) and databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Configure Gateways, tag providers, alarming, and historical data storage.
- Collaborate with IT/OT teams for infrastructure integration (cloud, virtualization, networking).
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions, technical workshops, and solution walkthroughs.
- Well versed with Onsite offshore model to leverage offshore team for all development work.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation, including troubleshooting and enhancement recommendations.
- Lead project review meetings with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Present architecture decisions, implementation progress, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory requirements.
