JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Data & BI will provide vision and leadership for the design, engineering, operations, and maintenance for a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for enterprise data supporting Universal Destination & Experiences (UDX) globally. This role will be leading enterprise data projects, working closely and aligning with partner teams, including Digital & Technology, NBCUniversal Operations & Technology, and business stakeholders globally to ensure all enterprise data requirements are understood and supported effectively and efficiently. Promotes collaboration by partnering with other leaders within and across division to share strategies and best practices to promote collaboration and improve efficiency.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership responsibilities for a team of salaried technical individual contributors and contractors. Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancements of data management systems.
  • Work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Testers to ensure data solutions are aligned with business objectives
  • Coordinates with the business users during project implementations and continue to serve as a point of contact for future data questions and issues
  • Facilitates and leads meetings with end users at all levels (VP, Director, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts). Keeps management and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, project status, changes, etc.
  • Define and establish and evolve best practices in data engineering, data analytics, and support
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 9+ years prior leadership experience managing teams of 4 or more resources
  • Deep Experience working with data structures, modeling, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Deep Experience with data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data cataloging tools (e.g. Collibra)
  • Experience with one or more databases such as Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle etc.
  • Experience with one or more ETL/Data Quality tools such as IBM's Data Stage/Quality Stage, Informatica Power Center etc.
  • Experience with one or more reporting/ad-hoc analysis tools such as MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects, Tableau etc.
  • Experience with one or more data modeling tools such as Erwin, Embarcadaro etc.
  • Broad experience with data requirements, data modeling concepts, data integration, master data management, metadata management, enterprise data warehousing (EDW) and business intelligence/analytics, tools, protocols and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation and presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of systems development and project management methodologies/processes.
  • Able to understand and interpret logical and physical data models.
  • Familiarity with customer identification and address standardization processes and tools such as Unica etc. a plus.
  • Familiarity with one or more statistical modeling tools by SPSS or SAS etc.
  • Familiarity with Big Data concepts, tools, utilities, protocols, and practices
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing architectures, protocols, and practices
  • Demonstrated ability of strong customer relationship skills.
