The Principal, Digital Data Architect is responsible for contributing to and supporting the enterprise measurement strategy and data collection across digital experiences. This role helps drive our migration from Adobe Analytics instrumentation and governance to the organization's transition to Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). The role partners closely with Analysts, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to ensure high quality data collection, scalable analytics architecture, and actionable customer journey insights that inform business decisions.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Help lead enterprise-wide enterprise digital analytics architecture, tagging and instrumentation strategy across web and mobile experiences
  • Manage Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) configurations and optimization, including connections, data views, derived fields, and metric definitions
  • Support enterprise adoption and optimization of Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) as the primary digital analytics platform
  • Contribute and partner with analyst teams to develop the end-to-end measurement strategy for digital and omni channel experiences, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and customer journeys
  • Define and maintain enterprise analytics standards, governance models, and documentation (e.g., Solution Design References, tagging specifications, data dictionaries)
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across platforms through validation, audits, and ongoing monitoring
  • Provide architectural guidance on analytics implications during product design, MarTech decisions, and platform changes
  • Drive continuous improvement of instrumentation to support evolving product and customer analytics needs
  • Provide strategic leadership for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) integration, including data ingestion, identity strategy, and dataset design
  • Champion analytics best practices, enablement, and adoption across the organization

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in digital analytics, customer analytics, or data strategy
  • 4+ years of deep hands on and technical expertise with Adobe Analytics (tagging, instrumentation, governance), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and/or Adobe Launch/Tags
  • 4+ years experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including XDM schemas, datasets, identity, and ingestion patterns
  • 4+ years of designing scalable measurement frameworks and omni channel analytics architectures
  • 4+ years of experience creating solution design documents, technical specification documents, data dictionaries, and/or implementation guides
  • 3+ with JavaScript, JSON, APIs, browser behavior, cookies, identity persistence, and/or network calls
  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading an enterprise migration from Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics
  • Experience integrating digital analytics with offline, CRM, media, or transactional data sources
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and product management best practices, with experience in leading agile product teams
  • Background in healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries with privacy considerations (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
