Job description

We are seeking a Data Strategy & Governance Lead to drive enterprise data governance, data quality, and data management initiatives across a complex technology environment that includes IBM Maximo, Oracle Financials, SCADA, GIS, AMI, billing, customer service, and hybrid cloud/on-premises platforms.

This role will establish data governance frameworks, improve data quality and consistency, and support enterprise data strategy to enable trusted reporting, analytics, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise data governance and data strategy initiatives.

Define data standards, policies, ownership, and governance processes.

Improve data quality, metadata management, and data consistency across systems.

Collaborate with business and IT teams to support data integration and modernization efforts.

Establish data stewardship and compliance practices.

Support enterprise reporting, analytics, and master data management initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data strategy.

Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and governance frameworks.

Experience with enterprise systems, data integration, and cloud/on-premises environments.

Familiarity with BI and data management tools such as Microsoft Power BI.

Utility industry experience is preferred.
