Job Summary:

They are seeking an IT Staff Storage Engineer responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of data storage environments, collaborating with stakeholders to meet storage requirements, and providing technical expertise for system issues and improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the data storage environment
• Works with key technical and business stakeholders to determine data and storage requirements and creates solutions to meet the requirements
• Provides Level 2/3 technical system expertise; Oversight and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues, and user/customer support needs in coordination with Operations Support
• Manage capacity and performance of the Storage infrastructure ensuring high availability of all systems
• Proactively monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality & ensure optimal performance of all Storage environments
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems, design, configuration, support and processes
• Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and bottleneck issues within a complex application & systems infrastructure
• Provides multi-level technical support in defining, developing and evaluating storage products to meet Cadence needs
• Provides recommendations to improve the storage infrastructure and address/lead critical issues and analysis
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of storage hardware and operating systems software
• Assists with backup & recovery procedures
• Participates in change control activities to ensure awareness of scheduled work
• Design, implement, and maintain storage and backup automation using scripting and orchestration tools to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Experience architecting and operating Rubrik backup platforms, leveraging SLA Domains, immutable backups, replication, and cyber recovery for on‑prem and cloud workloads
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Must have extensive experience in managing highly available, mission critical storage infrastructures
• Good exposure to various storage platforms, specifically having in-depth exposure and expertise related to NetApp and PURE storage platforms
• Strong understanding of storage platforms in a corporate infrastructure and storage security practices with the ability to utilize storage administration tools
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to work in a high pressure 24/7/365 environment with strict deadlines
• ~8 years of relevant IT experience
• 5+ years of NetApp storage management experience along with at least 2 years of experience managing PURE storage platform
• Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions
Preferred:
• be proficient in Unix/Linux and VMware administration
