Job description

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, database administration, or data analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in ETL processes, relational database structures, and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL querying
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and the secure handling of sensitive PII
  • Sharp attention to detail with a methodical approach to quality assurance and documentation

Our Ideal Onboarding Data Specialist
  • Demonstrated experience migrating data from legacy HCM or payroll platforms
  • Working knowledge of HRIS data models and payroll structures, PII compliance frameworks, and data governance programs
  • Proficiency in automated data testing frameworks or scripting languages (Python, Databricks, etc.)

THE IMPACT OUR ONBOARDING DATA SPECIALIST MAKES
  • Leading the accurate, thorough, and efficient extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading of historical employee data into our system
  • Rigorously profiling data, validating algorithms, and manually reconciling high loads of historical employee data from legacy HR and payroll systems
  • Collaborating with clients' HR teams to learn legacy data requirements and execute custom transformation and mapping rules
  • Managing and continuously improving our data migration scripts, templates, and automated workflows
  • Collaborating with functional team members to identify, troubleshoot, and address anomalies, formatting errors, and missing values
  • Overseeing formal data hand-offs to the project manager, delivering technical documents, and verifying systemic readiness
  • Completing additional responsibilities as assigned
