Now we're hiring a full-time Legacy Data Specialist to join our office in Shenandoah, TX and support clients in onboarding their legacy HR and payroll data into our system.

THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR LEGACY DATA SPECIALIST

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You'll oversee the accurate, efficient, and timely migration of legacy HR and payroll data into our platform, working with clients' HR staff as needed to ensure smooth integration. This role ensures that high volumes of historical employee data are properly extracted, cleansed, transformed, and loaded into the system, supporting functional team members as needed in proactively identifying and addressing data discrepancies, missing values, and formatting errors. You'll also work with the clients' HR teams to learn legacy data requirements and create customized data transformation and mapping rules.

Before any systemic import, you'll perform thorough data profiling, manual reconciliation, and algorithmic validation to verify that all data is accurate and complete. When ready, you'll oversee the formal data hand-offs to the project manager and provide them with the required technical documents. You'll also find ways to improve and optimize our migration templates, scripts, and workflows, helping make every day slightly more efficient and timely.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, database administration, or data analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in ETL processes, relational database structures, and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL querying
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and the secure handling of sensitive PII
  • Sharp attention to detail with a methodical approach to quality assurance and documentation
  • PREFERRED - Experience migrating data from legacy HCM or payroll platforms
  • PREFERRED - Knowledge of automated data testing frameworks, scripting languages like Python or Databricks, and/or HRIS data models and payroll structures
  • PREFERRED - Familiarity with data governance programs or PII compliance frameworks
