Mailroom Clerk

Location:In Office - Tampa, FL

Job Type:Full-time

Pay:$14.50 per hour/DOE

Schedule:Monday to Friday | 7:00am-3:30pm


Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Mailroom Clerk to support daily mailroom and document processing operations. This role is responsible for sorting, opening, organizing, preparing, and processing incoming and outgoing mail and documents with accuracy and efficiency.


The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment that requires accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of tasks.



Key Responsibilities

Mail Sorting and Document Preparation

  • Open, sort, organize, and prepare incoming mail and documents for processing
  • Ensure accurate identification, categorization, and routing of mail items
  • Prepare documents for scanning, imaging, and document management processes
  • Support outgoing mail preparation, including packaging, labeling, and postage
  • Research mail and document details as needed to ensure proper handling


Operational Support

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support timely and accurate mail and document flow
  • Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area
  • Follow company procedures for mail handling, document processing, and quality control
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year office related experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Consistent attendance and timeliness.
  • High attention to details.
  • Time management skills.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift to 3050 pounds (e.g., bankers boxes)
