As the Data Services SME, you will have a background in data governance, integration, and enterprise IT strategy to support critical government and intelligence initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and implement data governance strategies across enterprise systems
  • Lead efforts in data integration, quality assurance, and metadata management
  • Define and enforce policies for data access, lineage, and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and cloud teams to ensure secure data sharing and storage
  • Support development of enterprise data architectures and services frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with federal data policies and security standards
  • Advise stakeholders on best practices for data cataloging, tagging, and interoperability

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED with 10 years, Associate's with 8 years, Bachelor's with 6 years, Master's with 4 years

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Experience in data governance, enterprise data management, or data security
  • Strong knowledge of data standards (e.g., DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK), architectures, and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake)
  • Excellent communication skills and experience advising leadership on data policy
  • Experience supporting national security, defense, or federal IT programs
  • Familiarity with data mesh, data fabric, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) models
  • Background in secure data sharing between cross-domain or multi-agency systems
  • Knowledge of federal data initiatives (e.g., Federal Data Strategy, CDO Council priorities)
