The Role
Position Summary
As a Data Services Test Lead, you will work with project and product managers, internal stakeholders as well as external vendors and partners to develop comprehensive and automated testing solutions across the data environment. You will be responsible for the defining and implementing the overall data platform testing strategy. You will research and develop test cases in response to the business requirements documented in Atlanticus's issue ticketing system. You will work to ensure the data schemas, formats and content meet stakeholders' requirements and expectations. You will ensure that code changes are deployed and operating correctly within the User Acceptance Testing environment. You will open quality tickets when code defects are discovered and provide details of the issues. You will supervise other Data Services testers and ensure they are following the defined and accepted testing methodologies. You will participate in regular team meetings with other Data Services team members and provide updates to ensure that all Data Services issues and tickets are being tested in a consistent and timely manner.
You're a great fit if you have:
8-10 years of overall functional testing experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant degree required
Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies
Experience in testing strategies related to ETL and Data Warehousing
Ability to write complex SQL code in support of high-volume Data Validation efforts
Unix/Linux operating systems experience
Experience in defect lifecycle management
Knowledge of automated and end to end testing techniques
Experience in Data Analysis and Validation
Knowledge and experience with cloud applications and infrastructures notably AWS is a plus
Maintains a "hands-on" attitude. Strives to understand, educate team members, and grow in knowledge
Detail-orientated with excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience in the financial industry is preferred
