Job description

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. This position supports a customer-funded, one-year effort with an anticipated period of performance from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027 The selected candidate will apply advanced data analytics techniques to support national security missions by researching and analyzing structured and unstructured data, developing complex database queries, and transforming data into actionable insights. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Data Scientist will collaborate with Government and contractor personnel to integrate diverse data sources, solve complex mission challenges, and communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform research on structured and unstructured data sources using quantitative and qualitative metadata and content analytics.
* Construct and execute complex database queries to support mission requirements.
* Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate data sources and solve mission challenges.
* Identify meaningful insights from large datasets and communicate findings and recommendations to Government stakeholders.
* Support data management activities within large-scale, enterprise data environments. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Five (5) or more years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a closely related analytical role.
* Demonstrated knowledge of computer science concepts, data architecture, intelligence practices, and managing data within big-data environments.
* Experience performing complex data analysis and database queries.
* Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Position Duration This position supports a customer-funded effort with an anticipated period of performance from August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. Employment is expected to conclude upon completion of the customer requirement. While Radiance cannot guarantee follow-on work after the period of performance, employees are welcome to apply for other open positions within the company for which they are qualified.
