POSITION SUMMARY
Join the U.S. Venture Data and Analytics team as a Data Science Intern for Summer 2027!
U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May - August 2027. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The ideal candidate is a data enthusiast who is looking to apply data science methodologies and solutions in industry to solve real-world business scenarios.

  • The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of identifying and implementing data science solutions that support US Venture's strategic initiatives.

  • We are seeking an intern who is self-directed and will be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

  • We are seeking a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and who can communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Ability to build processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong emphasis on data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as Pandas
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms
  • Demonstration of previous data science projects is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
